What would be the impact on Bolt's attraction to Babylon sponsors and his consequent earnings... if he were to be:

    A. Black American

    B. White American

    Ans:

    For A... ~2X increase

    For B... ~5X increase

He could get more by signing with Nike instead of Puma.

The same type of thinking that created a problem cannot be used to solve the problem.

1 - Let ignore the world market and focus on the domestic market. The US market is much bigger that the Jamaican market therefore an American hero should generate more American sales than a Jamaican hero would generate Jamaican sales.

2 - Whites have more money than Blacks. A White hero will generate more sales from whites that a black hero would generate from blacks.

3 - Then there is the matter of his loyalty. He could get more by signing with Nike instead of Puma but he did not jump the Puma ship.

Would Bobs impact on babylons marketing be different if he was

                a) White

                b)black american

You people need to look deep at what you are asking, American T&F wasnt going anywhere when Tyson Gay was the worlds fastest man.T &F marketing took off because of BOLT, a Jamaican country boy with a 3rd rate shoe wear company .Look at that in context , was it the brand name Jamaica, the enigma? The mystique ?

Jamaica has a brand name all over the world , up there with anybody, what we lack is progressives who know how to market it.Puma a forgein company had that and guess what they had Bolt, market they did, not just bolt but Jamaica, the black , green and gold.

Me personally , i doubt it, there was a place reserved for Bolt in the third world before im buss, Bob Marley, P.Tosh, Capleton , Sizzla and others carved that out in Africa, Shabba carved it out in Latin America with reggaeton as did our ancestors in Panama ,C.Rica and Cuba.

The Reggae Boyz and our immigrants did same in music and sports in Europe.

In Asia , Ska and reggae did same.

                In America, my lawwd .

What was it about Bolt , but to arrive and be marketed !

Unnuh nuh rate di black, green and gold.Look Jamaica have an ole Bob Marley song marketed for tourist that just got upsurped by an ad from the virgin islands playing progressive reggae.....THINK !

That market was not and could not be reserved for anyone but a Jamaican, if he was white , now yuh talking...lol

THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.
