Confirmed: Jamaica “lost its way on doping” says WADA chief

WADA president John Fahey stated that Jamaica has “lost its way” on drug testing for athletes the BBC is reporting. The comment by Fahey follows on the heels of statements made by Jamaica’s senior drug tester Dr. Paul Wright who told the BBC that recent doping scandals in the island could be the “tip of the iceberg”. Mr. Fahey also told the BBC, that WADA has been aware of difficulties in Jamaica for sometime, but there is no power under their code to compel anyone to do certain things he reiterated. WADA will meet in Johannesburg, South Africa today to discuss their findings following their 3-day visit to Jamaica last week and are expected to make recommendations
