MOSCOW, Russia -- The 2013 Moscow IAAF World Athletics Championships is less than four days away and all but two of the country’s athletes have already settled in the Russian capital.
Sprint hurdlers Dwight Thomas and Andrew Riley are scheduled to arrive tomorrow, August 7. National 100 metre champion Kerron Stewart, on Tuesday, was the latest to arrive.
Dennis Gordon, the team’s media officer, said Tuesday night, “the team has settled in well. We trained this morning and again in the evening.”
Meanwhile, Jamaican athletes are enjoying the cool weather of Moscow, as Tuesday night’s temperature is 25 degree Celsius.
Wednesday, according to the weather forecast, will be partly cloudy early to be followed by mostly cloudy skies and a few showers later in the day with a high around 23 degree Celsius.
