  • Stats on our 2 premier athletics camps.

An objective rundown of the historical performance
of Jamaica's 2 most succesful track clubs.

    The Stats:

To the best of my knowledge the data is correct.

This is meant to be a matter-of-fact stare into the cold hard facts of historical improvement results. There are of course more nuances involved and extenuating circumstances, but this will serve to guide thought and discussion around the matter. Hopefully both camps can use this analysis to make necessary modifications to their operations, as we need MORE not lesser number of successful coaching setups.

    Racers

    1. Racers have had success with 10 out of the 38 listed.
    2. The biggest successes have come with teenage males aged 19 years old. Mario Forsythe is the only exception to date.

Great data Willi. Very nice. Not sure exactly of your intent in presenting the stats, is it a head to head straight up comparison then it is what it is. However if the intent is to truly understand effectiveness of program then I would ask a few questions like where is the line between MVP and utech drawn are they one and the same, also with the length of time that MVP has been in the business versus racers should the head to head be shown during the same time period, since 2009 to truly see effectiveness over a similar period in time. Also what about a stat that shows how many athletes out of all that have been developed actually have made it into a top ten world class level for their event. Just a few thoughts, nice job.

Off the top of my head.

Racers has no female medals. Bolt alone has 13 outdoor Oly and WChamps indiv and relay. Blake has about 5, Wier has 1. Gunz has about 3. That makes about 22. Of course I double count relays with Bolt and Blake, but I may also miss a Racers relay runner in the mile relay.

        MVP

        BFH 3 or 4....lets say 4 for now. Asafa 4, Frater 4 or 5,Wire 6, SS 4, SAFP 6,
        Mason 1, Carter 4, Melaine 3. That makes 35 to 37.
