Whycliffe 'Dave' Cameron has been elected President of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB), according to a statement posted on the board’s website on Wednesday.
The statement said that Cameron, had defeated incumbent Dr. Julian Hunte by a 7-5 margin.
Hunte, a 73-year-old St Lucian, had been at the head of West Indies cricket since 2007.
Cameron, a 42-year-old Jamaican, who was nominated by the Jamaica Cricket Association and seconded by the Windwards Cricket Board, has been a WICB director since 2002.
