Richards-Ross, who was born in Jamaica, but left as a child for the USA, said: "I never get any flack from Jamaican team members, but from those fans who are disappointed that I don't represent the gold, green and black."
"However", she added "... for the most part, the Jamaican team embraces me, support me and joke with me. I don't speak enough Patois, but when I get with them I do, which makes for a great relationship."
