Nadzeya Ostapchuk of Belarus, who won the women's shot put at the London Olympics, had her gold medal taken away for doping. Valerie Adams of New Zealand, who finished second, will recieve the gold medal. Adams won the gold medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Evgeniia Kolodko of Russia upgraded from a bronze medal to silver. Fourth-place finisher Gong Lijiao of China will get a bronze medal.
