Who said anything about throwing away West Indies?... my original proposition was that individual countries could vie for the WC (every 4 yrs) and maintain the test side for regular one v one encounters otherwise. We "break up"every year when we play the regional competition. is that adisrespect to the greats that preceded?
The one fear I would have is that it could lead to a total disbandment of the Windies, the one institution that(tenuously) binds the region together. This I think would be a loss. However,if cricket wants to grow, it has to move faster and with more innovation than it currently does.
