Sammy made the team as a captain and as a bowler who could justify his place as bowler because of the under performance of others.
Lambert will make the team as a captain and NOT as a batsman who can justify his place. Plus, him belly nuh meet Otis requirement.

Rampaul belly meet it though? I saw rampaul in the nets in Barbados an' mi would be curious to know what fitness test him pass.

Correction Sammy mek di team as captain and an all rounder he has morphed into a bowler. He was not the best available all rounder perhaps the more pliant though. So he is a poor captain and a failed all rounder. LAMBERT mi seh!

so the point is sammy made the team as CAPTAIN (he probably keeps his place as a bowler, but would he, if he was not the captain?)and in that he has made some woefully poor decisions which cost us (dropped catches aside because he took a few quality catches)
...besides hard as it is for some who just love Frankie Worrell when he came in as WI Captain, matters not he made some runs, *very valuable runs and took 1 or 2 wickets...Worrell, based on his then current form, did not warrant a place as batsman or bowler. He was chosen slowly as Captain.

...so Sammy vs Lambert based on value as a Captain, Lambert it is by the proverbial country mile'. The facts - Sammy's actual record as player and Captain - support the theory that Sammy's presence makes the Windies a weaker team.

*I seem to remember a 70+ vs England in England when we won the series (1-3 I think)...and was it a crucial 30+ vs Australia when we had that tied series??? or was it just something like that --- the scores reversed i.e. the 30+ vs England and the 70+ vs Australia or the scores weren't 30+ and 70+ (but I know one was above 50 and one was below 50)...
