Jamaican sprinter Steve Mullings was given a lifetime ban from athletics when the disciplinary panel met this afternoon at the Jamaica Conference Centre in Kingston.
The overseas-based Mullings was found guilty of an anti-doping violation by the three-man disciplinary panel of the Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission (JADCO), last Thursday.
However, sentencing was postponed until today pending receipt of a document from the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) outlining the specifics of a prior violation by Mullings.
The 28-year-old had previously tested positive for testosterone in 2004 and served a two-year ban.
