  • Sex scandal at another big US College

This time at Syracuse and involving the associate head coach of basketball and two brothers.

ESPN ran the story today and one guy said the abuse started when he was about 10 or 11 and ran until he was about 26.

The other said he was just touched a few times.

ESPN said the allegations were made in 2003 but they could not find anyone to corroborate the two men but said they went with it this time as another perosn stepped up.

How do these youth end up on campus again? Youth programmes or what?

Sometimes the ones you trust the most are the most predatory... sigh

They are now grown men 45 and 39 years old and never attended the school, both were ball boys for the basketball team.

One was taken just about every where, basketball tournaments in Hawaii, Final Four and road games...

There are some holes in the story. When the allegations were initially made, the alleged victim claimed four other boys were molested and they all denied that the abuse took place.

So where are the holes? What if the other four are like so many other rape/abuse victims who for whatever reason decide they will not say anything?

Lots of rape/abuse victims dont speak out because they are ashamed or have been threatened and in many cases they blame themselves.

She also slept with the guy when he was a teenager and lived in the house

I recall the Syracuse head coach adamantly denying any abuse took place, wonder what he is saying now

                  Bernie Fine fired by Syracuse

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse University fired associate head basketball coach Bernie Fine on Sunday in the wake of an investigation of child molestation allegations against him.

"At the direction of Chancellor Cantor, Bernie Fine's employment with Syracuse University has been terminated, effective immediately," Kevin Quinn, the school's senior vice president for public affairs, said in a statement.

The 65-year-old Fine was in his 36th season at his alma mater. He had the longest active streak of consecutive seasons at one school among assistant coaches in Division I.
