Jamaican Stafanie Taylor, the ICC Women's Cricketer of the Year, will have one less thing to worry about following a contractual agreement with sports gear company Puma.
It was Taylor who notified the Jamaica Cricket Association about the need for a bat sponsor and the local governing body wasted little time in contacting Western Sports, who handed Taylor a two year deal worth US$7,000.
So with the batting contract out the way, the world number one spot is now on Taylor's radar.
And there could be three Jamaicans in the West Indies women's squad for their World Cup qualifiers in Bangladesh.
Natasha McLean was named in an 18 player squad, which will later reduce to 14, to start training in Barbados.
The other Jamaican in the squad is the all-rounder Shanel Daley.
The West Indies women team will begin their qualifiers against Ireland in Group "B", which also includes Pakistan and host Bangladesh.
