    Monaco – The IAAF is pleased to announce the names of the 10 men and 10 women who have been shortlisted for the 2011 World Athlete of the Year Award.



    The 10 male and female candidates have been selected by an IAAF panel of 8 athletics experts. An email poll involving the World Athletics Family will begin today and close on Sunday 23 October, midnight CET.



    At the conclusion of the voting process, three male and three female finalists will be selected and announced by the IAAF.



    The Council of the International Athletic Foundation will then select the male and female winners from the finalists with the announcement taking place live, on stage, during the 2011 World Athletics Gala, on 12 November 2011.

            the success of the 4x1 and 4x4 is all down to felix! plus she got a personal silver and bronze (2 golds a bronze and a silver) 4 medals

            jeter got 2 golds and a silver (3 medals).

            VCB 1 gold and 2 silvers (3 medals)

                    Well I emailed off my votes yesterday...of course it goes without saying that i voted for the Jamaicans and the Grenadian in the men's section and Valrie Adams and Pearson in the female section
