  • The enigma Asafa Powell.

Strange fellow for a Jamaican , seems like he has no fight for the big fight but turns up when nothing is on the line, to tease with ease when setting records or PBs .

He let the world sit up and take notice when we had no Bolt of lightning when the americans danced, pranced and dismissed us as not good enough , in Carl lewis case nonexistent, we came out of nowhere!

But he did show up to let the world take notice didnt he ? from out of no where? Something for him then was on the line and for that Jamaica should forever be grateful.

Strange fellow from a land of champs ,prep school, primary school, high school champs.

Why the lack of fight , that natural Jamaican ego to stamp authority when blessed with natural talent ? what is lacking with Asafa ?

Asafa with all his faults magnifies the greatness of our T&F in that with such passive talent Jamaica can afford for him to be injured at a majour Championship , retain gold and for him to turn up weeks later to pick up a pay cheque and place 2nd.

It will only get worse for him with all these young lions eager to make the world take notice of them , no doubt with a fight , seeing that the competition is Bolt ! What a fight it will be, in vein no doubt , but funny enough I expect a fight .

    Asafa an enigma.

THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

You wouldn't turn up on a stump and a pulled groin to collect US$40,000 and a nice diamond to put in your trophy case?
Solidarity is not a matter of well wishing, but is sharing the very same fate whether in victory or in death.

Would not say deserved, he earned it by scoring the most points on the circuit but I did not like the caveat in the rules that forced him to come run on one foot to get it after he done worked for it.

Sounds like at the end of the month, the boss tell you to come to a party to collect your pay

Zurich and Brussels are the BIG DON meets on the circuit and set the rules.
