Coach Micheal Carr said that the worst runner should run the 3rd leg but I would put Blake on 3rd because Frater is our best back stretch specialist. Nesta fi sit out this one but if Nesta is in and Frater is out then put Blake and 2nd and Nesta on 3rd.
Kerron should run the back stretch provided that shorty SAF can safety pass the baton to her.The same type of thinking that created a problem cannot be used to solve the problem.

I wouldn't be quoting Michael Carr in any relays make up after he messed up the boys teams at the Pan-Am Championships last monthSolidarity is not a matter of well wishing, but is sharing the very same fate whether in victory or in death.

There is a lot of blame to go around here as the JAAA needs to take more time when they are appointing coaches for national teams but then when the coaches are appointed they too need to do home work about who is in their teams.
Mickey Carr is a girls coach and it was obvious he was not too familiar with a lot of the boys in the team ore what they could do.
His mistakes cost us two medals but he said he was erring on the side of caution as he did not want to "overwork" Todd.
I saw this in Italy in 2009 when Danny Hawthorne was named head coach of the WYC team but had no clue about the girls but the good thing was they had Milton Brown from STETHS who took over from him.
In Miramar, they decided to run Odail Todd in the 100m and I can only guess they did so because he won the event at WYC but if they had stopped to think, he ran 10.51 in France but had 21.00 in the 200m which was a far superior time and he is infact a 200m specialist. No way he was going to beat those 18 and 19 year old boys ahead of him in the 100m
Then the relays were a mess as after two injuries they used a 1500m man to run a leg of the 4x4 when both Todd or Everton Clarke of Herbert Morrison who anchored the Herbert team at Penn Relays were available.
The make up of the boys sprint team was also questionable but then where were the assistant coaches to make suggestions but if i could see the glaring mistakes, surely they must have been able to see them too.
Claude Grant of Herbert Morrison was there as a spectator and he too could not believe what he was seeing.Solidarity is not a matter of well wishing, but is sharing the very same fate whether in victory or in death.

I am guessing here but maybe he meant slowest but that makes no sense either as the third leg to me is a specialist area where only a good curve runner should be placed...Solidarity is not a matter of well wishing, but is sharing the very same fate whether in victory or in death.

"overwork" Todd." Do you recall that I question about the coaches knowledge of athlete? They should at least read Talawah(before it is taken down), where do they go for their statistics?
Why does the JAAA do not send extra athletes for relay duties?
The JAAA is loosing out to T&T AAA for the Lobster award, not even that they can win ROTFDWL.

"third leg to me is a specialist area" This is where a Journalist should give Clarke a call to clarify, pin him down, him lucky he is not in New York, this media nuh joke, plus Letterman's new material, would you say Bolt is the slowest?
