  • I have been saying it for a while - Gay will be injured for

    the Worlds. And so said...

No, I would prefer if he were there to get his propah licks, but I've always felt that he is not a natural 9.6 runner and will train too hard to try and beat a man who ran 9.58 with some amount of ease. I know, there is nothing profound about my theory. Anyone who knows a little about track would have felt the same way. When yuh train to beat Bolt, someting gwine pop. Or as dem say, pressure buss pipe! If Asafa nuh watch it, same ting might reach him!

I just did not expect Gay to be injured so soon.

    Too bad!

I was thinking the same thing too. No ordinary man can't train to run 9.6 without pulling some parts. It takes a superman to do that.

The best they can do is follow a training routing that will not kill them before the tournaments but come in prepared and do the best they can. Training to BEAT bolt naw go work.

Gay would agree with you too that he is not a 9.6 runner, he says he has only gone under 9.70 once and that was in perfect conditions, so until he runs 9.6 consistently he will think of him self as a 9.7 guy...why unnu no read Observer?

...yup! You can push the body until things go wrong.

There is that danger to all athletes. Just look at the number of footballers who go down each year with 'pulls' and other muscle ansd tendon ailments.
