  • Serena And Venus Williams At The Greyhound Track.

Two greyhounds named Serena Williams and Venus Williams will be running in the same race Friday night in the National Greyhound Night Of Stars, which runs races from tracks all over the country.

The race will be the Night Of Stars third race, which will be held at Flagler in Miami.

The two greyhounds, like their namesakes, are sisters.

    (4) Serena Williams is listed as the favorite at morning line odds of 2 to 1. She has won her last three races and her last six races were 1-1-1-3-2-2. Serena has excellent early speed and a decent finish. The 3 and 5 dogs alongside her are slow and drift a bit outside. If Serena can beat these two dogs out of the box, especially the 3 to her left, she will be at the front end around the turn.

    (7) Venus Williams is listed at morning line odds of 6 to 1. She is an early speed dog that tries to hang on at the end. She will have get to the front early and wire the field. The 7 box near the outside is a tough place for an early speed dog in a 3/8 mile race, but the 6 dog next door breaks slowly and Venus could make it to the front. Venus has finished 2-1-2-1-6-3 in her last six races.
