Brethren what Historian is not saying is this. Most of our top under 20 sprinters boys are professional. Can you imagine if Lee, and the other two who went pro were there? That never use to happen before where our players go pro. Murphy the best under 17 sprinter based on last year is injured. We have at least one top under 20 girls sprinter injured and who can tell how many who had one year left, went to college.
Not even GE can produce that consistently every year. Some years like this is going to be a normal year. In an outstanding year them can't come close.- Don't let negative things break you, instead let it be your strength, your reason for growth. Life is for living and I won't spend my life feeling cheated and downtrodden.

Re: Fighting so hard
Historian, how does the top 5 times compare with, say that of the top 5 finishers recorded in each of the last 5 years?
The answer may throw some light on what is happening?"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."

Nevertheless, you made an interesting point about those who had one year left but went to college. I’ve noticed over the years that while some other Caribbean countries have their college based athletes return to participate in the Carifta Games while still eligible, Jamaica stands out as the most visible exception! Our athletes, once they go to college, never return to Carifta!!
And I’m not guessing here, as I could easily name athletes from Trinidad, Barbados, the Bahamas, etc. who returned from college while still eligible for Carifta in order to represent their island.

But could Mckewnzie and the other 200 specialist youth run a leg on the 4*400? Remember one of them taking up the 4 now too.- Don't let negative things break you, instead let it be your strength, your reason for growth. Life is for living and I won't spend my life feeling cheated and downtrodden.

Regarding Murphy, if he had attended Carifta this year, I’m not sure on which mile relay team Murphy would have been used; that is, the coaches might have decided to use him on EITHER the Under-17 OR the Under-20 4x400-meter relay team.
