  • D. Ganga's "brilliant" captaincy

    deserts him against CCC.

Even after losing an entire day to rain CCC still whip them?!? This Kantasingh yute I've heard of...impressive performance against his compatriots.

Someone should have reminded them it wasn't a 20/20 match...

If he had read my preview Friday he should know he should bat first, even his manager told him if he won the toss, bat first dont worry about the little moisture that was in the wicket but he was afraid that batting at number three he would have to go out there.

It was a funny game, you spoke about the Trini spinner Kantasingh and to be honest I thought the Bajan spinner actually bowled better, especially in the first innings when he flighted more but Kantasingh got the wickets on a pitch that did nothing.

Phillips made 88 in the first CCC innings and was dropped five times and six of his 10 fours were thru slips and off the bat edge..but he did look much better in the sceond innings when he made 70 not out.

The T&T batsmen thought they were in a 20/20 game and no one except D Ganga in the first innings applied themsleves- Phillips batted for 40 overs in the second innings for his first second 50 and Ravi Rampaul was very ordinary to say the least in the first CCC innings he bowled 10 no balls and was hit for 22 in one over by the number 10 and 11 batsmen.

        He also looked over weight..

Phillips batted for 40 overs in the second innings for his first second 50?

          Seems that needs some explanation...

He made a half century in the first innings -88 and was not out 70 in the second where the 50 came off 40 overs- he opened the innings and was there for all 40 over bowled..anything else?
