59/4 (8.3o)Toss Trinidad & Tobago chose to field v New South Wales

    Live scorecard and ball-by-ball details

Trinidad & Tobago's captain Daren Ganga chose to chase in the final of the Champions League Twenty20 tournament against New South Wales in Hyderabad. The stakes are massive as the winners will take home US$ 2.5 million, the largest cash prize in a cricket tournament ever.

Simon Katich, NSW's captain, said he would have batted first had he won the toss. The experts reckon that the grass has been cut low on the slightly dry track and it should be good to bat on for the entire duration of the match.

The battle lines are clearly drawn: NSW are the more disciplined team with a touch of flair, while T&T are full of flair with a healthy dose of discipline. NSW are stronger in the seam-bowling department but T&T have more slow-bowling resources. T&T's lower middle-order is more powerful but NSW's openers are more established.

New South Wales: 1 Phillip Hughes, 2 David Warner, 3 Daniel Smith (wk), 4 Moises Henriques, 5 Simon Katich (capt), 6 Ben Rohrer, 7 Steven Smith, 8 Brett Lee, 9 Nathan Hauritz, 10 Stuart Clark, 11 Doug Bollinger.

Trinidad & Tobago: 1 Adrian Barath, 2 William Perkins, 3 Lendl Simmons, 4 Daren Ganga (capt), 5 Dwayne Bravo, 6 Kieron Pollard, 7 Denesh Ramdin (wk), 8 Sherwin Ganga, 9 Navin Stewart, 10 Dave Mohammed, 11 Ravi Rampaul.

pollard gone. GREAT effort by T&T to reach the finals ... ntohing to be ashamed of and everything to be proud of. started off as rank underdogs and ended up as favourites in the final!

True...but they played much below their best and what they did throughout the tournament...but as you said they mae the finals...shows what a well organized Windies TEAM could do. I think Pollard, Bravo, Ramdin, Rampaul, Simmonds and maybe Perkins are Windies standard...Barath is knocking...and maybe woudl be better in the longer formats, the young Bravo (Darren) looks classy when he's on but still sm problems but one for the future (looks like Lara when batting?)...the rest also ran or Journeymen? Young Stewart from Tobago needs a run inteh Regional games to see what he's made off.
Well time for the Gayle, Sarwan, Chanders and the rest to show leadership...separte the men form the boys so to speak. Let's see hwat happens in Guyana next week..if it isn't washed out.

Who tell me fi say when TT was 20-2 that "this is the worst start" that T&T has had... a woman start tell me to "hush yu mout" and "be quiet" and "jamaican mussn say nutten", an "muss keep out" ... well, I didn't say much, humoured her petulance... if I had told her a couple choice words she wouda say "all yuh jamaican caan take joke"; the usual copout (of some Trinis) when caught with their slip showing.

Please! And the USA had a lucky run and got to the Confed Finals. Nothing more to it. It happens all the time in sport.
