Kingston, JAMAICA: Speaking on a local radio station Coach Glen Mills, the founder of Racers Club under whose banner, triple world champion, Usain Bolt competes, will be hosting a press conference to clear up certain aspects of the recent drug issue involving five Jamaican athletes.

Two of the accused, national junior record holder in 100m, Yohan Blake, and 2007 Osaka WC 200m finalist, Marvin Anderson are members of Racers and Mills in the interview suggested that this move is essential as many of the things published in the media on the matter are not exactly so and need to be clarified. ”We will explain our system, how it works, the persons involved and how the athletes came to take the substance”, said coach Mills.

Blake and Anderson had pleaded guilty and were banned for three months together with a reprimand.

Asked about how his star athlete, Bolt, was affected by the news which broke during the pre-championships camp, Mills said ”He was told what happened, he needs to know as he is constantly before the media and we did not want him to hear from them”.

A suggestion was made that the super star might have ingested some of the substance in question but Mills distanced his prize charge from the entire affair by saying ,”He came with his own management system and is not a part of our structure”.

Serious ramifications if the JAAA & Mills dont deal with this properly.

In no way should any coach/athlete feel comfortable with a head coach whose mandate overides that of your coach when in a professional setting especially when his program or regime whether it be nutritional, medicinal, supplemental or psychological is countered to your professional stance.

”We will explain our system, how it works, the persons involved and how the athletes came to take the substance

How arrogant can the JAAA be ? Rules are rules and they must be respected !

yo nuh tiyad fi di reportah tell yo fi shut the fock up?
Why is Mills asking for a Governement handout instead of seeking private investors to enhance his product?

What is in it for the investors? Mills has one athlete, Bolt, in his camp. What is their motivatation to build facilities for "others" to benefit from?

Gamma - that's Addidas - not Nike. Just before the 2004 OLY in Athens, Addidas launched a campaign around the theme "Impossible is Nothing". Their top athletes could be seen on billboards around the OLY city with the slogan.
