THESSALONIKI, Greece – TrackAlerts.com reported earlier that Isa Phillips, running out of lane 3, was dq’ed in the men’s 400m hurdles after hitting a hurdle and seemingly had obstructed American, Michael Tinsley who was in the lane to his right.

Apologies are in order as EME News confirms that it was Phillips’ teammate veteran Danny McFarlane who was in that lane and lodged a protest leading to the punishment meted out to the former NCAA champion.

McFarlane did not seem to be close enough to Phillips to be hampered by the infraction but the judges ruled in his favour, he ended up in 6th position with 50.28 secs.
Phillips’ posted time prior to the disqualification was 48.72 secs.

Like it or not, is there something wrong with what he did?

Seems like he is pretty consistent with his beliefs. From a man who made the Francis comments, this should not be a surprise.

TrackAlerts have reputation to sensationalize. I await proof.

          I am here!

Clearly Danny was put off by Isa's antics...if not, why would Danny immediately lose his rhythm?
