American athletes don't think it is so much of a big deal to be on the cover of SI...ever heard of the SI cover jinx?
It is uncanny that a great percentage of athletes who appear on the cover of SI experience a sharp decline in performance after wards.Solidarity is not a matter of well wishing, but is sharing the very same fate whether in victory or in death.

SI might be published worldwide but I hardly see it as some respectable journal of popular sports. I'm sure I'm not the only one. Too much American sports!

Well it does have it readers. I don't look to SI for sports credibility(what does the swimwear edition have to do with sports) but they do have their readers who are not necessarily traditional sports fans.- Don't let negative things break you, instead let it be your strength, your reason for growth.
