      DUH!

Kingston gave them excitement and appreciation. They felt like, yeah, this is what I want to do in life!

Looking at her 200m runs though...it is apparent that she got NO coaching in the US!!!

She runs on the OUTSIDE of her lane and her arm action of swinging across her chest is a no-no.

MJ and others picked it up in 10 secs.

Who the HELL was coaching her? She is technically WORSE than when she left Jam. She is running on sheer talent alone, and what a talent she must be! she still runs like a schoolers at a January devt meet.

Send her to Mills or Franno and the rest of her contemporaries better fret!

You know, Bolt does not hug that curve as he should. But maybe at that height, he can't. But imagine the times if he really could hug that curve!

True, but even then, he does an acceptable job.

She hugs the OUTSIDE of her lane, even threating to go into the outer lane. She must be running 205m at least!

There are possibly only two purist in our Worlds squad ...Asafa (yet...Asafa drifts across his lane) & Shelly Ann (also drifts across her lane somewhat).

...maybe Foster-Hylton also can 'get a bly'?

[quote=Historian;184522]All of Jamaica fell in love with the rather eccentric Blanca Vlasic when she did that (lol)!! That was a really sensible and certainly sensitive move on her part.

Hmm - was it Blanca or the Swede - Caroline Kluft. I think it was Caroline.

Can't wait for the big one to be held in Kingston!
I don't think Christine was there, and my research doesn't show her there.
Vernicha James was there, the GBR youth, who won the Gold in the 200m.

MdmeX, believe it or not, while hurriedly typing my reply on Wednesday evening, the thought actually crossed my mind as to whether the teen who included the Jamaican flag with that of her own country wasn’t actually Carolina Kluft.

Honestly, the thought occurred to me while typing, as such action would be more in keeping with the very animated Carolina whose very sweet, very sensitive personality (she is, for example, color-blind as far as racial prejudice is concerned) would result in her doing this marvelous gesture to a host country.

Thank you for pointing out the correct athlete, MdmeX. It is much appreciated .
