In my hastily posted information update yesterday evening, I mistakenly identified sprinter Derrick Atkins as one of the alleged troublemakers at that Berlin night club.
The three Bahamian athletes who are allegedly involved are triple jumper Leevan Sands, 110-meter hurdler Shamar Sands, and high jumper Donald Thomas. The American is said to be hurdler Bershawn Jackson.
I should not have made this error as Atkins was not in Berlin at the time, a fact which I was aware of. He had reportedly packed his bags and left Germany immediately after failing to qualify out of the first heats of the 100-meter dash.
I apologize for this error that I made yesterday.
