  • Who is Steve Mullings coach!!

He came off the 200 turn gangbusters and faded down the stretch, is that just a strength/training issue, it seems so to me, if he can finish strong he is going to be a real contender.

I looked at the stats on Alonso Edwards and he was closing fast at the end after a really bad start, we have to watch that boy, he is going to be something special if he can keep at it.

Same coach as VC, Tyson Gay, Debbie F. and Aleen B.

What you think bout him race Willi, it seem very unusual to me that him tear up the curve and then falter so much in the stretch, is that lack of proper training, that's what I see. I thought he ran the first leg of the 4*100 really well.

i wouldn't say improper training... i think mullings did well... it all had to with race tactics... he might have gone out too fast and didn't have enough for the latter part of the race... execution issue... i think speed endurance is all that is needed with mullings... he did pr in the race... can't fault any coach when an athlete pr despite the position at the finish...

Mullings said he erred in trying to stay with Bolt and it cost him a medal.

              carter injured.

but why are we so hard on Mullings?!? If it was so easy to just fix these problems, everyone would be runing 19.5 and 9.7! we won't all have stamina. ask VCB!n

thats what i saw too... went out too fast trying to keep up with the 'lightning'... he did pr though... he should now have confidence to run that hard and fast on the circuit for his development...

No not being hard at all, I just found it surprising that he could follow off the curve so well and if he was strong enough he should have been able to close the deal coming in just see some incredible potential there.
