    as of January 1 anyone who false start in any race will be kicked out.

      This is an American TV rule...first they grudgingly show track and field and then get upset and have to find things to say during the break, plus they package the meets tightly some times cutting away during the last events

      I do agree to some extent as some people with less than world class starts (and I am not pointing fingers at Bigga Thomas) who always seem to false start and I also know of situations where coaches tell slow starters to pick the start as part of their race strategy.

        I'm ok with it. It's part of the IAAF new thrust to re-popularise the sport.
