There has been a delay in the testing of the 'B' samples for the five Jamaican athletes who tested positive for a stimulant at last month's national Senior Track and Field Championships.
The testing of the 'B' samples were due to be completed today, however it is understood that all the athletes were not represented at the laboratory, in Montreal, Canada.
In order for the re-testing of each sample to be done, the embattled athletes either has to be present or have a representative present to observe the process.
The hearing which is to follow is highly dependent on the outcome of the re-testing of the samples which could either produce a negative result, clearing the athlete or a positive result, which would then make the hearing necessary.
Additionally, it is understood that not all the athletes are in the island, however all five have requested testing of their 'B' samples.
The five risk missing the world championship, for which the entry deadline is Friday.
