was checking to see why he really retired since he is presently 35 yrs, and he was doing well
even on and off injury. seems like they were onto something that speed up his retirement.. dont know how reliable this is...

On February 4, 2008, Greene announced his retirement from track and field in Beijing, citing nagging injuries and a wish to see new individuals succeed in the sport. Greene said he hopes to pursue coaching and business interests.[3] In April 2008, the New York Times reported that Greene had paid Mexican discus thrower Angel Guillermo Heredia $10,000, which Heredia claimed was in payment for performance enhancing drugs. Greene admitted meeting Heredia and making the payment, but claimed it was common for him to pay for "stuff" for other members of his training group, and reiterated that he had never used banned drugs

I hadn't heard the story before, but apparently the discus thrower did testify that he received money from Greene for drugs.

but I don't understand it. Wasn't it Trevor Graham who blew the whistle? Why would he when he knew that HIS athletes were on the juice?

Yes he blew the whistle, and I do not get it either. He was prosecuted and found guilty for lying to federal officials, and I don't know if he was sentenced to prison.

According to the Feds he had a big fallout with Conte and the BALCO crew. They were both threatening to expose each other and Graham decided to make the first move while sugarcoating his side of the story. It backfired.

Speaking of Trevor Graham, you guys most likely know that he was a member of Jamaica’s 4x400-meter relay team at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, South Korea.

Kinda like when Ben Johnson won the gold in Seoul he was Ben Johnson of Canada; then news of the failed drugs test came out and he was Jamaican born c Canadian runner Ben Johnson; then there was the confirmation he failed the drugs test and then it was Jamaican Ben Johnson who runs for Canada.
