Another notch in his bat. On his way to 196 he pulverised one bowler for 26 runs in one over, and passed Don Bradman for the most 150's in test matches. He now needs one century to match Sachin Tendulkar's record of 35 Test centuries.

Once again showing why isarguablythe greatest WI batsman ever, and clearly the best in our lifetime.

I would not be surprised if he gets another triple century tonight. The man is just unbelieveable.

Why limit him to the greatest WI batsman ever, have you ever seen anyone better than him? I just feel that he can do anything whenevre he feels in the mood.

Infact a couple of old time greats recently gave him top marks. Ian Chappell, Tony Greig, Wasim Akram and other old timers, in a recent interview, said that Brian Lara is the greatest of the modern era. Chappell said that while he thinks Sobers is the greatest of the old timers, Lara tops Tendulkar, Waugh and Ponting in the ranking among present day great batsmen.

He is certainly the best I have seen play the game, so in that sense yes I would say he is the best batsman of his era.

In terms of all time, its hard to argue against Bradman and Headley although the game has changed so much since then comparisons are almost pointless.
