    Tough-talking Chambers fancies beating Bolt
    Published: Wednesday | February 4, 2009

    LONDON, England (CMC):

Embattled British sprinter Dwain Chambers says he now has Jamaican sprint icon Usain Bolt in his sights, after clocking a personal best 6.52 seconds in the 60 metres dash at the Birmingham Games on Saturday.

"Bolt's the man to beat. I may not run 9.69 (in the 100 metres), but as long as I dip that line before him, my job is done," Chambers said. "He won't be showboating with me on his tail."

The 30-year-old, trying to rebuild his career after it was almost ruined by a drugs ban, said he had conquered Bolt several times in training and said this had given him added confidence the double Olympic-sprint champion was within his reach.

"I beat him a few times in training, but he would never admit that," said Chambers, who trained in Jamaica three years ago. "That's something I've got up my sleeve. I know him. But then again, that was a few years ago and he's gone way up the ladder and I've got a lot of catching up to do. But I'm patient about it and I know that every man has his day."
