Please! Only HL is under some delusion that cricket is more popular. I went to a World Cup match in 2007 - me, the players and the match officials!

It is worse... would you believe that things are SO BAD a local team in T&T on par with say Melbourne or Lucas (dem still de bout?) is trying to recruit me to coach their developmental side? Without putting myself down too much, and I'm serious, that is a sad indictment of where things are...I do coach cricket and I am licensed but I cannot believe there aren't more experienced people around to do the job. the truth is people have been losing and have lost interest in cricket. They will now only fill a staidum for 20/20 guaranteed...a ODI is also likely to draw a big crowd depending who is in town to buss we a$$, but Test cricket has seen much, much better days.

Anyway, I didn't accept..for one I don't have the time and even more important, this age group believes that they've "reached" just because they've made the squad. Can't deal with prima donnas. I much prefer the young kids' age group I usually work with...at age 10 they still demonstrate respect and will listen and follow instructions.

Wow,i remember back in the days when there was a test match at Sabina park people used to travel from all over the country and there was a real buzz and exitement.I suppose success on the field had a lot to do with that.We need to improve these pathetic performances to get the fans back on board.
From our last 30 test matches we have only won 2 and lost 19 thats just not acceptable.

People may still travel from a far distance because is mainly them interested in Cricket now. Outside of St. Elizabeth, nobody nah play cricket.

Well my home team which was the St.Mary Parish Champion for years upon years. We produced alot the players who play for Portland and St.Mary and few who got called for Jamaica. After wining every competition in St.Mary they couldn't buy pads with the prize money.

It was sad to see these teams go to waste as they had promising youngsters who were been named in different Jamaican youth squad. An interesting thing I saw was a national under 17 youth coaching 12 year old school children as there was no adult to coach.

Mosiah son already drop a catch. Them things are just killers. The few times our bowlers threaten to make serious inroads, there is always some sloppy fielding just in time.
