More tragic news from T&T...

I just heard that T&T's premier female boxer Jizelle Salandy was killed in a car accident this morning. As yet this is unconfirmed so I'm hoping there is a mistake. I met her before...a very level headed intelligent and ambitious person. very very sad if his is true.

This happened at about 7:00am on a Sunday morning on a very good road. If anything it is conducive to speed, (not that I'm suggesting anything about her driving) but at the point where the accident took place you'd need to start slowing down as there are traffice lights about 400-500m ahead.

They have released no details about the accident.

She was a really nice young woman who impressed me with her articulateness and her desire to give back to her society. The T&T sports fraternity is in deep shock and mourning. She was very well known and popular in T&T. RIP.
