Tradition is the most important, and BTW Angola, Namibia & South Africa are not in West Africa. Geography Lesson 101

Also, in places like Serra Leone & Congo, the best athletes were more likely to be donning AK47s instead of running spikes over the last few years.

You mean them wasn't at the Congo High Performance Center training for the Olympics? LOL!

Yes I agree tradition is critical. Thats why places like the Bahamas and T&T are more recently producing so many good sprinters. Same gene pool as Jamaica but now they are getting more of a tradition.

Take a look at this list of over 1000 and tell me if there is any familiar characteristic with most the members of the list.

Well, since me never tek geography 101, I consider any country having a western coast on the Atlantic Ocean a West African country. If you want to get more technical, then use your goegraphy 101. For the sake of this discussion however, I will point to any of the countries on that side of the continent.

Excellent point, and one which I fully agree with!! For example, our high school championships, which is the primary focus and highpoint of every high school coach in Jamaica (things like Carifta are just icing on the cake), is a proud tradition dating back to around 1912 when boys Champs started. So, for us, track and field, with Jamaican-born icons to emulate, has always been more important to Jamaican youth when compared with their counterpart in the Ivory Coast or in Ghana and Nigeria.

              The following are generally accepted:

              1. West Africa ranges from around Senegal in the north to Cameroon in the south. There is no hard and fast boundary, but south of Cameroon is generally referred to as Central Africa, north of Senegal is North Africa.

              2. Most of the slaves taken from Africa and brought to the New World came from West Africa, as defined above. It was not economical to take them from elsewhere.

One of the reason we are doing so well is that our "energy" is rising while that of our traditional nemesis the United States is falling.

Pay close attention as these people know what is going on so pay attention to their "distraction" ploy in the genetics study.

Right now a "Mawga" man time and you can go and check the writings on the egyptian walls and temples and see how we normally looked back in the days when we were in charge of running the world and teaching everyone else.

we migrated out of the nile valley to all over Africa and our armour was our spirituality before it got taken away from most of us.

Now in the last days the people who are spiritual are vibrating on a different energy level than non spiritual people who are getting a beaten and are unable to spot the signs of the times.

Thats what the bible meant when it said that in the last days those with eyes to see will see. We have to return to our jamaican spirituality to see and note the fact that our youngsters are on a rise and the energy if directed to good make us the best and if directed to bad we become the worst.

Same thing with our footballers but most of us still no see it yet but keep paying attention and sending out positive vibes in the universe and it will manifest as whatever you believe tend to manifest

Its part genetics but a major part is that "natural mystic" that is floating in the air that makes everyone who come to Jamaica want to come back.

Its that natural mystic that rejuvenates us whenever we go home.

Its our time now!! No need to search for any answers. Its right in front of you eyes like the prophet told you
