  • Men's 4x100-m Relay: All-Time Fastest

    Jamaica’s 4x100-meter relay national record of 37.89 seconds was posted last year at the IAAF World Championships in Osaka by the team of Marvin Anderson, Usain Bolt, Nesta Carter and Asafa Powell. Jamaica placed second behind the American team’s 37.78.

    But what are the all-time fastest 4x100-meter relay teams?

    Well.. Bolt cut half-second off his 100M and Carter running sub-10 suh.. USA record look unsafe..

      The mens 4x100m relay is probably the Olympic event in which we have underachieved the most. From the 1968 games where we broke the world record in the prelims and then placed 4th in the final, to today we have little to show. Many of the disapointments have been due to off-the-track problems of both athletes and the administration.

      Today we are in the greatest era of Jamaican short sprinting to date and a great chance to start redeeming ourselevs in this event. Based on whats going on in the camp so far though, it is not looking good.

          Respect Historian. Still hoping for the best though.

          Who knows, maybe since the drama has started so early this time we may patch things up by the time the big events come around!
