Brian Lara to my recollection was up on a similar "charge"... and came through unscathed.

What a wasted talent. In 2000 I was taking flight back from England and it delayed overnight. I stayed in a hotel room and watch him stand up and bat in such a good way to the English. He is a good batsman but he seems to have everything else on his mind execpt playing cricket. This has affected his game plus his injuries.

This youth is one wasted talent, I wish his brother Robert had the talent with the bat that he has.

I think he did have the talent, but was not given enough opportunities to prove himself. The last time he represented the WI he made 76 and 35 not out vs Australia in a winning cause.

For some strange reason he was never given another look by the Windies after that strong finish.

There is no "strange" reason. His attitude did not give himself another opportunity. Michael Holding had to ask if he was more interested in modeling or cricket.

i read richardson's statements and yes, it does seem VERY harsh but still worthy of punishment as it displayed poor judgment.
