Having a terrible time boss reconciling your reasons for this new and improved forum(downtime..)with the fact that the replacement is a more complicated(script)...
To further compound it, the freedom to post, in my opinion, is what gave the site its edge over all forums...
Bring back the old site, yes I said it!!!
Anyway, me caan even finish de registration,boss.

Rocky: Since this post over a week ago, you have completed your registration. I also see you posting on the site and I am sure you will get used to it in no time. Just pay attention to the basics and learn other features as you go along.
The idea of the freedom to post was killing the forum. For a few who love to revel in the non-football talk all the time, it was not a problem and it could remain business as usual for them. There were many others however who constantly complained that we were not doing the service to football which we initially set out to do. We therefore felt we wanted to get back to the basics and put football at the forefront, but also accommodate the other discussions.
There were also the issues with administrative control of the board. Too many times we were getting feedback both from the forum and email, that the forum had gone to the dogs. We listened and decided t do something about it.
We are also thinking of growing the RBSC product where the site can be attractive to our advertisers etc. It is a step we had to make and we must say things seem to be going nicely.
Going back to the old forum is not an option. The old forum was our in-house design and it badly needed some maintenance as well as some additional features. We did not have the time to make that happen, so we decided to go out and seek a solution to better serve our growing needs. I am of the philosophy that ones reach should exceed their grasp. You have to seek constant improvement in anything you do or tomorrow you become someone's toast.
Just watch us be the best the Reggae Boyz has to offer on the net from here on.
