a good reference

EVERTON boss David Moyes has handed a trial to Jamaican international midfielder Omar Daley, as The Toffees embark on pre-season training for the coming season.

The Scot will run the rule over the highly-touted 21-year-old, who was in The Reggae Boyz Under-20 squad that qualified for last summer's World Youth Championships in Argentina.

Daley plays his club football domestically with Hazard United and is an aggressive central midfielder who is known to have skill on the ball and excellent passing ability.

Daley is known to be a firm favourite with Jamaican supporters and will be keen to make an impression during his stay with the Merseyside club.

Moyes told Everton's official website: "Omar has come over to join in with some of our pre-season preparations.

"He is a young, enthusiastic player and we now have an opportunity to take a closer look at him."

Everton has money problems and they are looking at another midfielder. I wish Omar all the best.

EXCLUSIVE
PLANETFOOTBALL.COM understands Everton are poised to land Paris Saint Germain midfielder Edouard Cisse as part of the deal that will make Alex Nyarko's move to the French giants permanent.

The Ghanaian international joined PSG initially on loan last month with a view to a permanent move and the Parc Des Princes outfit have offered Cisse to Everton in exchange for making Nyarko's switch full-time.

The 24-year-old ace has been tipped for a move away from PSG, and Everton boss David Moyes is ready to bring him to Goodison Park.

Everton could face competition from Premiership rivals West Ham, Sunderland and Middlesbrough for his signature.

Middlesbrough are believed to have had a loan offer for Cisse rejected, while West Ham and Sunderland are watching his situation.

Moyes has still to bring in any new faces to Goodison Park with a lack of transfer funds the apparent problem, but with Cisse coming as part of the Nyarko deal it would not upset any of his other transfer plans.

I wish Omar Daley well. When you have talent, you will be found in due course. Hopefully, Everton can spin the wheels and make something happen for the youth.
