Theodore Whitmore scored twice and Gary Alexander hit another, as well as missing a penalty, as Hull beat Kilmarnock 3-1 at Boothferry Park. Whitmore struck six minutes after half-time and nine minutes before the end, to show boss Brian Little that he can yet be useful to The Tigers this season, despite being available on a free transfer. Alexander notched the killer third goal in the 86th minute, which somewhat atoned for skying a 71st-minute spot-kick, when the scores were level. The Tigers opened the scoring on 51 minutes when David Beresford overlapped on the left wing, before pulling the ball back to Ben Petty. He hit a first-time cross into Whitmore, who controlled the ball before volleying it home against what was an under-strength Kilmarnock side. That was something of a disappointment, considering that the original match against Preston was cancelled due to North End wanting to send a weakened side themselves. Nevertheless Killie leveled on 67 minutes, when Mickael Pizzo galloped off down the right-hand side and his cross was headed home at the far post by Chris Di Giacomo. Alexander's penalty chance came on 71 minutes, when he was felled in the box and got up himself to take the kick. He wellied the opportunity over the crossbar, but Hull did secure the win that they deserved with two late goals. Mark Greaves, Ben Morley and Ryan Williams combined superbly down the right flank and, from Williams' pinpoint cross, Whitmore volleyed home despite the keeper's best efforts. Alexander then stepped up to cement the victory four minutes from the the whistle, when he ran onto Julian Johnsson's through-ball to coolly slot home past an advancing keeper.

Thanks for that Flex. Still there are no takers. What is it with our players why the clubs won't come running?

I think that this is the summer for Tappa and if he gets no takers then he should consider moving to the MLS.

Hello Tilla, Withmore may not get another contract with a English club (forgive me), his style of play is more Brazilian, he will no dought make a club in Italy (seria-B) or Brazil even Spain, but in England it would be hard for him, the English style of high balls will not go good with Withmore's style of play, I think his best bet would be Spain - or even W Connection of T&T: providing he's payed good, (laugh). He could also join the MLS, but I think he still has alot to offer, when he resigns he should go back to JA and play for some club in JA so he can spread his experience to the younger ones.
I heard that a First Division English Club is after him, I dont know if it's ture but I heard it from a good sourse, good luck Teo, you I have always respected, you deserve better, look to Spain or T&T: .
